We are excited to welcome Chef Clive Berkman to Garden Court Hotel and the Downtown Palo Alto community.
Clive’s dedication to non-profit events, along with his creativity and passion for using local and green farmed ingredients make him the perfect match for our new food and beverage program.
His addition to our team adds complexity to our menus, flexibility to create menu and beverage excursion packages and provide our guests with customized and over the top dining experiences.
As a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Clive’s eclectic international style is influenced by his years of culinary training throughout Europe and greater US cities including New York, Miami, New Orleans, Houston and San Francisco.
Clive also has authored a book and continues to speak on influential food panels and at cooking demonstrations throughout the United States.
California’s rich and abundant farmers markets and local producers are Clive’s resources.
His European culinary background and passion for clean and unique ingredients has created exciting in-room dining options for guests and new catering menus designed to accommodate the diverse range of special events, meetings and weddings that take place at Garden Court Hotel.
